Confirmation, together with Baptism and Eucharist, form the Sacraments of Initiation that are all intimately connected. In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of ChristThe Diocese requires two years of Sacramental prep in order for students to receive the Sacrament. Students start preparing for Confirmation in the 9th grade through our C.A.F.E. Sundays and/or Y-Disciple programs. Confirmation is ordinarily received in the spring of their 10th grade year.

Note to parents of 9th/10th graders!If you have a child in 9th or 10th Grade who has not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation, this message is for you!Our parish sacramental preparation, is intended to facilitate a natural sharing within the family between varying ages and places on the journey while still giving each person what they need to grow in faith. This includes parents and children, those who are preparing to receive sacraments for the first time and those who receive them regularly, those whose spiritual lives are rich and those whose spiritual lives are in need of enrichment!Those in Confirmation prep will be meeting with the rest of the parish for formation on Sundays, as well as meeting with their respective group (year 1 and year 2) to go over content and share in person discussion! We are a Community of Faith, and we learn our faith within the community! But the family is the first community, and the place where the Faith is passed on most deeply, so we also encourage your teens to share with you what we are discussing in our Confirmation meetings. We live our lives of faith not just in the pew but in the family and the community. Finding ways to participate in the wider parish helps make learning about the faith personal and integrated into the fabric of daily life and daily relationships.How can you learn more?
